About the Journal
Journal of Society and Progress (JSP) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. The journal promotes research that examines how societies change, how institutions shape public life, and how ideas of progress are negotiated across education, culture, economy, governance, technology, environment, public policy, and everyday social experience.
The journal welcomes scholarship that is empirically grounded, theoretically informed, methodologically clear, and socially relevant. JSP is especially interested in research that engages Bangladesh, South Asia, the Global South, and comparative international contexts, while also welcoming work that speaks to broader debates in social sciences and humanities.
JSP publishes original research articles, review articles, policy and practice analyses, research notes, and book reviews. All research articles are subject to initial editorial assessment and double-anonymous peer review. The journal follows recognized principles of publication ethics, editorial independence, reviewer confidentiality, author accountability, and transparent correction of the scholarly record.
The journal aims to support responsible knowledge production and public-facing academic scholarship by making research accessible to students, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, civil society actors, and interested readers.
