Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

JSP is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. The journal expects editors, authors, reviewers, and publisher representatives to act according to recognized standards of publication ethics, including transparency, accountability, confidentiality, fairness, editorial independence, and correction of the record when needed.

Authors must submit only original work, cite sources accurately, disclose conflicts of interest, acknowledge funding, obtain necessary permissions, follow research ethics requirements, and avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, and undisclosed use of generated or manipulated content. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, declare conflicts, review objectively, and avoid using unpublished material for personal advantage. Editors must make decisions based on scholarly merit, manage conflicts of interest, protect reviewer confidentiality, and address ethical concerns promptly.

When ethical concerns are raised before or after publication, JSP will investigate them carefully. Depending on the case, the journal may request clarification from authors, consult reviewers or editorial board members, contact institutions where appropriate, publish a correction, issue an expression of concern, retract an article, or take other appropriate editorial action.
